Thanks for Sustainable lifestyle

Od augusta do októbra som so zaujímavými ľuďmi prevažne zo Slovenska absolvovala intenzívny Tréning efektívnej rozvojovej spolupráce (TERS).
From August to October, I attended an intensive Training of effective development cooperation (TERS) with very interesting people mostly from Slovakia. Every day we worked with concepts such as sustainability, global justice, peer solidarity, and equality of opportunities. Universal Declaration of Human Rights was for us the Bible. But this time (we spent together) was not only full of knowledge, but it was inspiring also on the human level – in creating strong friendships. I am grateful for them and therefore I am jumping up two meters!

Some argue that for thirty years old man or woman is too late for the new friendships – that new friends could not fit in his or her life any more! I can not agree with that. Everything is possible, just we have to want it! My relatives are wondering how is it possible that I better match with someone (and I automatically understand him/her) after two-week summer school or ten-day personal development training in the Netherlands, than with classmates from four years' study at high school. It's quite easy! We are just at one wave-length, we have the same priorities in life and we profess similar values. We can therefore skip long getting to know each other and work together on sharing the important things. We have also very similar job (the third sector), and common interests (Slovak large-format painting, uhm).

S ľuďmi z TERSu sme si vypestovali príjemnú trojmesačnú rutinu – spoločné jazdy autom z centra Bratislavy do Trnavy, každodenná káva v nádhernej komunitnej fair-trade kaviarni 4friends, celodenný tréning a spoločná cesta vlakom či autom domov. Cez víkendy sa k tomu pridružilo pečenie koláčikov, návštevy kultúrnych podujatí, nakladanie hermelínu – doslova vegetariánske hody u Alex v jej nádhernom bytíku. Naučili sme sa napríklad každý deň so sebou nosiť (občas sa aj farebne k tomu zladiť): recyklovaný pohárik – štýlový keepcup, aby nám nemuseli kávu nalievať do jednorázovo použiteľných papierových či plastových pohárov. No skrátka výstupy z tréningu v nás fungovali stopercentne. Vytvorené puto s týmito vzácnymi ľuďmi si hodlám pestovať a nadlho udržať… Nazdravie!
With TERS-people, we have developed a nice three-month routine – a common drive from the center of Bratislava to Trnava, daily coffee in the beautiful community fair-trade coffee-shop 4friends, all-day long training and then travel back home by train or by car. During the weekends we used to bake cookies, visit cultural events or prepare pickled camembert – it was literally great vegetarian feast in beautiful flat of Alex. We learned every day to bring with us (and sometimes to color-harmonize with our clothing) recycled glass – stylish keepcup, so we did not have to take away the coffee in non-recycled paper or plastic cups. We have got under the skin so many outputs of that training. I intend to grow and sustain that formed bond with these precious people for a long time... Cheers!
